A pioneering member of NCU’s first three golf teams, Ahrens came to NCU and established a high standard of excellence for future golfers to follow. He holds the school record for winning percentage (85.9%) and is tied with Tyler Falk for the best career stroke average at 74.5. He won six tournaments in his career which is second on NCU’s all-time list. That number includes three tournaments which he won during his first season.

Ahrens owns three of the top-ten rounds in school history including a pair of 68’s which rank third all-time. In 2009 he set a two-round tournament record with a five-under par 139 at the Concordia Invitational.

Ahrens was a three-time All-Cascade Collegiate Conference selection and a six-time CCC Player of the Week. He owned the team’s low scoring average in all three of his seasons and was named the Most Inspirational golfer in 2010. He was named the NCU Male Athlete of the Year as a junior in 2009 and after his senior campaign in 2010 he became the first male winner of the Sports Information Legacy Award.
