A true Northwest Christian College legend, Duane Cox spent over 15 years as a coach and player, earning numerous accolades along the way. Cox began as an All-Conference athlete on the first ever Crusader basketball team, and went on to guide the school to over 200 victories as the head coach. He guided NCC to five conference championships in eleven seasons as the head coach, and in 1977, led the team to their first NLCAA national tournament appearance. After going 10-0 in conference, the team set a school record with 25 wins and were ranked #1 in the nation throughout most of the season.
