Press Release

A member of the Northwest Christian College basketball teams from 1975-1979, Chuck Katter was the first All-American in school history, recognized by the National Little College Athletic Association (NLCAA) in 1979. Katter was a four-time All-West Coast Region and All-Pacific Northwest Collegiate Conference selection, earning PNCC Most Valuable Player honors as a senior. Katter led the Crusaders in scoring all four years, while guiding his teams to three PNCC championships and one West Coast Region title.

The Eugene native came to NCC from Willamette High School and developed into an exceptional player with the Crusaders. Katter was known as a tough defensive player and unselfish with the ball. He was the type of player that made everyone else around him much better.

Katter now works as a Vice President with Oregon Mutual Insurance Company in Portland, Ore. He has five children, ranging in age from 27 to 11.
