Kuskie Earns All-CCC to Lead Beacon Women

COMPLETE RESULTS | TALENT, Ore.  – Rebecca Kuskie repeated as an All-Cascade Collegiate Conference selection on Friday, leading the Beacon women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the CCC Championships.

Kuskie claimed 15th-place overall, coming across the finish line in 19 minutes, 42 seconds. As an All-conference performer, Kuskie is in line for a potential individual berth in the NAIA National Championship race when those qualifiers are announced on Tuesday.

The Beacons improved upon their eighth-place finish from last season, taking sixth place as a team with a score of 166, defeating Corban University by eight points.

The College of Idaho had the top-four finishers and earned seven of the top 18 spots to easily defeat Southern Oregon University for the conference championship, 17-49. LC State finished third (83), followed by Oregon Tech (136) and Eastern Oregon (142).

Kuskie had the unique opportunity to compete alongside her younger sister, Jovi, a freshman on the College of Idaho team. Running neck-and-neck for most of the race, Rebecca would finish 12 seconds ahead of her sister.

The remainder of the scoring for the Beacons came within a one-minute pack, led by junior Kaitlin Cook who took 38th place (21:39). Freshman Harmony Goodman was next (41st, 21:43) followed by Kennedy Larson (48th, 22:30) and Hannah Scott (50th, 22:41). Isabell Johnston (53rd) and Liz Jarvis (65th) also competed for Bushnell.
