CORVALLIS, Ore. - On the heels of a huge sweeping victory over No. 4 Corban University and a road win against Warner Pacific University, the Bushnell volleyball team was awarded with two CCC Player of the Week honors on Monday.Â
The Beacons earn their second straight Cascade Conference Defensive Player of the Week award, this time going to Soliel Sands. The senior middle blocker earned 12 blocks over the conference-opening victories, claiming four against Corban and eight against Warner Pacific, averaging nearly 1.7 per set. She added 16 kills and a .483 attack percentage as well.Â
This is the first CCC Player of the Week honor for Sands this season and the third of her career.Â
Senior
Emma Fa'alogo was named the CCC Setter of the Week for the first time in her career. Over the Beacon victories she recorded 34 assists and 22 digs.Â
