FIRST ROUND RESULTS

LEWISTON, Idaho. – Freshman Jaylee Hix landed in the top-20 on Monday in the opening round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament at Lewiston Country Club.
 
Hix shot an opening round 82 to lead the Beacons and sit in 19th-place individually. She was followed closely by Morgan Schlesinger, Jada Richwine and Kylee Smith who were all tied for 25th (86) to round out the scoring for the Beacons while Hailey Smith shot a 103.  
 
The Beacons shot a 340 as a team to hold sole possession of sixth-place after the first round. Bushnell is just nine shots behind Southern Oregon in fifth and ten shots shy of The College of Idaho in fourth, while sitting a comfortable 15 shots better than Walla Walla in seventh.
 
The University of British Columbia and Oregon Tech hold the lead after the opening round as each school shot a 305 on Monday. Host LC State follows in third (314).
 
The tournament continues with round two on Tuesday, followed by the final round on Wednesday.
