RESULTS | CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Bushnell women's track & field team were at Oregon State University over the weekend at the Pacific Northwest Invitational, walking away with two new Cascade Conference qualifying marks and over 25 personal bests.
Senior
Aniya Green and
Cyan Kelso-Reynolds set the tone for the women in the 200m dash as they both earned new qualifications for the CCC championship. Green finished 20
th in the event at 25.86, posting a new personal record and the third-best time in school history. Kelso-Reynolds followed at 26.01, also a PR.
The women's triple-jump, which saw four Beacons qualify for conference a week ago, was led by
Ellie Ekwere who earned another personal record. The sophomore jumped 11.03 meters (36-02.25) for the second-longest jump in school history.
On Saturday, Bushnell action was highlighted by the 4x400 meter relay as the team of Green,
Audrey Sommerville (pictured),
Sienna Lillebo, and Lindsay Rankin combined to run a 4:03.71 for the second-fastest finish in school history and the best mark in three years.
"We had a really good weekend," said Head Coach
Kyle Will, "and we are excited now for a week of rest for everybody so we can come back and finish out the rest of the season strong."
Up Next: The Beacons will take some time off for Spring Break and return to action on April 4 as they travel to McMinnville, Oregon to compete in Linfield University's Jen Boyman Invitational.
