Kyle Will joined the Bushnell staff in 2023 as the Director of Track & Field and Head Cross Country Coach for the Beacons.
Will brought a strong background at the collegiate level to his new post after spending the previous three seasons as the Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach at Ottawa University, an NAIA school from the Golden State Athletic Conference, located in Surprise, Arizona
During his time with the Spirit, Will expanded a roster from just 19 athletes to over 55 in just two seasons and signed over 100 athletes to Letters of Intent during his four-year stint, despite dealing with the uncertainties of the pandemic. Over the course of his career he has coached numerous All-GSAC competitors along with multiple conference champions and national qualifiers.
Will is a respected member of the NAIA coaching community, serving on multiple national committees while also working as a national rater for women's cross country this year.
Prior to his time in Arizona, Will spent one year at Providence Classical Christian Academy in Rogers, Arkansas where in just one season he coached ten individual state champions and also served as the school's Director of Strength and Conditioning. Will had spent the previous 13 seasons on the coaching staff at Bend High School in Bend, Ore., including the final six as head coach. His teams finished runner-up at the Oregon 5A State Championships each of his final three seasons at the school and featured multiple individual state champions in the 100, 800, 4x100 relay, and pole vault.
While in Bend, Will also owned a personal training studio called WillPower Training Studio. In that role he helped design, develop, and implement long distance running programs for athletes ranging in age from 12-80. His clients included age group champions at the 2007 Xterra Triathlon, 2009 World Triathlon, and 2010 Boston Marathon.
Will is a Cum Laude graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor's of Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in sports medicine. He completed his Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University - Irvine.
