Beacons Close Indoor Regular Season

RESULTS

NEWBERG, Ore.  – The Bushnell men's and women's track & field teams closed out the 2026 Indoor regular season on Saturday, competing at the George Fox Indoor.

It was only field events and 60-meter distance events on the track, but the Beacons were still able to come away from the day with two event victories, three revised school records, and 15 new personal records.

For the second straight week it was sophomore Cyan Kelso-Reynolds leading the way for the ladies as she qualified for and the won the women's 60-meter dash, besting a field of 41 competitors and improving her own school-record with a 7.92 run in the finals.

The women's 60m also featured three personal records for Sienna Lillebo, Audrey Sommerville, and Ava Adams. Adams collected three PRs on the day, adding bests in the 60-meter hurdles as well as the high jump.

The men's side was led once again by the strong Beacon Jumpers, as Bushnell swept the podium in the Long Jump. Kaleo Wellman took first-place (7.07m/23-02.50) while Maui Richmond and David Johnson tied for second with matching 6.17m jumps. The long jump also featured a personal record for David Thornton.

Like Kelso-Reynolds in the 60m, senior Brett Olmstead improved his own school record in the pole vault, clearing at 4.66 meters (15-03.50) to tie for first-place as the top collegiate finisher.

The final school record went to senior thrower Leah Schiewe, who becomes the debut record holder in the women's weight throw. Her mark of 12.94m (42-05.50) establishes the school mark, one week after her old Shot Put record was toppled by teammate Janaiya Miller. Scheiwe closed out her indoor career in the shot put as well with her own personal record at 11.16m (36-07.50) for the second-longest throw in school history.

Up Next: Two Bushnell men have qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, and will head to Gainseville, Florida from March 5-7. Junior Kaleo Wellman returns in the Long Jump, where he finished as the national runner-up as a sophomore, and senior Ty Kishen competes nationally for the first time in the Triple Jump.

On March 6-7, the outdoor season will also begin with the Erik Anderson Invitational.
