Beacons Close Season at NAIA Championships

LONG JUMP | TRIPLE JUMP

ASHEVILLE, N.C.  – Three Bushnell Jumpers closed out the 2025-2026 athletic campaign this week, competing at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships, taking place on the campus of UNC Asheville. 

On Thursday, junior Kaleo Wellman made his second straight trip to the national tournament in the Long Jump, landing a 7.00m (22-11.75) on his first jump to claim 13th place. 

Then on Friday, both senior Ty Kishen and junior Jermaine Schexnayder were in action in the triple jump. For Kishen, his best jump was his second, landing a 14.53m (47-08.00) for the fifth-best jump of his career. He ended the first flight in seventh place and finished the event in 16th.
 
Schexnayder started his day with his best jump at 14.33m (47-00.25). Seeded 24th in the event, he finished in 21st.
