Bushnell Esports: Weekly Recap

EUGENE, Ore.  –  Bushnell Esports continued the spring season with competition in FC 26, Fortnite, College Football and Rocket League.
 
The opponent for Madden did not show up for the second straight week.
 
FC 26
Match 3: Bushnell 2, Keuka College 0 (5-2, 7-3)
 
Manchester City 5, Barcelona 2
Barcelona 7, Bayern Munich 3
 
Andrew Bennett improved to 2-1 on the season with a sweep of Keuka College.  
 
FC 26 is played every Monday at 5:00 p.m.
 
FORTNITE
Zero Build: LEADERBOARD

Fortnite will compete in a seven-week zero build duos regular season, playing three matches every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Points are earned based on placement and eliminations. At the end of the regular season, the top 25 teams with the most points over the seven weeks will move to Finals. The teams in places 26th-75th will move into the Semi-Finals where the top 25 will move to the Finals.
 
The duos competing for the Beacons are Nathan Farris/Nick McGowen (Zero Build) and Trent Parks/Shawn Petty (Build).

Week 2: McGowen/Farris (126 points, 18th)
Week 2: Parks/Petty (14 points, 62nd)

Mason Monrroy had a thrilling comeback in game two but was held off late to drop to 1-2 on the season. Caden Hoerauf also dropped to 1-2 after a tightly contested matchup with Penn State, falling in both games.   
 
College Football is played every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
 
ROCKET LEAGUE
Match 1: Grand Canyon University 4, Bushnell 3 (2-3, 2-1, 1-2, 3-2, 0-3, 3-2, 2-1)
Match 2: University of Southern California 4, Bushnell 0 (4-2, 1-0, 3-1, 3-2)
 
Rocket League is competing in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) this semester and was placed in Division III: West-Central A. After rescheduling the first two weeks of the season, the Beacons played two matches this week, starting off with a heartbreaking loss to GCU on Tuesday. On Thursday, Bushnell was swept by USC in the best-of-seven series.   
 
The Beacons will play two more matches next week, which are currently scheduled for Wednesday. The times are to be determined as both are scheduled for 7 p.m.
