Bushnell Esports: Weekly Recap

EUGENE, Ore.  –  Bushnell Esports continued the regular season with matches in FIFA, Fortnite, College Football, Madden and Rocket League.
 
Mason Monrroy came away with a critical victory in college football on Wednesday to keep himself in postseason contention.
 
FC 26
Match 6: Conestoga College 2, Bushnell 0 (10-3, 6-5)

Despite the loss in week 6, Andrew Bennett (4-2) has already guaranteed himself a spot in the postseason play-in tournament. A victory in next week's final regular season match would clinch a first-round playoff game.
 
FC 26 is played every Monday at 5:00 p.m.
 
FORTNITE
Zero Build: LEADERBOARD

Fortnite will compete in a seven-week zero build duos regular season, playing three matches every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Points are earned based on placement and eliminations. At the end of the regular season, the top 25 teams with the most points over the seven weeks will move to Finals. The teams in places 26th-75th will move into the Semi-Finals where the top 25 will move to the Finals.
 
The duos competing for the Beacons are Nathan Farris/Nick McGowen (Zero Build) and Trent Parks/Shawn Petty (Build).  
 
Week 5: McGowen/Farris (116 points, 15th)
Week 5: Parks/Petty (54 points, 54th)
Week 6: McGowen/Farris (68 points, 19th)
Week 6: Parks/Petty (2 points, 66th)

Mason Monrroy and Caden Hoerauf are sitting at three wins apiece entering the final week of the regular season. Both need a win next week to earn themselves a spot in the play-in tournament.
 
College Football is played on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.

Caden Hoerauf has been eliminated from postseason contention following his week six loss to Randolph-Macon College.
 
ROCKET LEAGUE
Weber State University 4, Bushnell 1 (3-1, 2-0, 1-2, 4-3, 4-3)
 
Rocket League is competing in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) this semester and was placed in Division III: West-Central A.
 
Bushnell played another tightly contested matchup, falling to Weber State University. The Beacons are not in contention for a postseason spot, but will look to end the NECC season on a high note next week as they take on Sacramento State University in the final game.
