EUGENE, Ore. –  Junior
Aaron Lowry has been recognized as the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced on Monday.
Â
Lowry has put together an impressive season thus far in keeping the Beacons undefeated, and added a pair of shutouts as the Beacons swept a road trip with victories over Warner Pacific and Walla Walla this weekend.
Â
On Friday, Lowry made four saves in a 1-0 victory over Warner Pacific. It was Bushnell's first win over the Knights in nine years and the first-ever shutout recorded in the series.
Â
Then on Sunday he added three saves as Bushnell defeated Walla Walla University, 2-0.
Â
Lowry currently leads the CCC and is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA for both Goals Against Average (0.39) and Save Percentage (.879).
Â
As a team, the Beacons have allowed just five goals through 11 games this season with seven shutouts. Bushnell (7-0-4) is 3-0-2 in the Cascade Conference, sitting alone in third place and just two points out of first.
Â
UP NEXT: The Beacons will be back on the road again this weekend and will take on Northwest University at 3:00 pm in Friday. Â
