EUGENE, Ore. – A pair of defensive-minded teams ran headlong into each other on Friday evening as the Bushnell men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with The College of Idaho. With the tie, Bushnell has now started a season undefeated through eight matches for the first time in school history.
"We played with a lot of intensity tonight and created good chances," said Head Coach
Joao Ehlers. "We played against a tough opponent and I am proud of our guys effort."
The Beacons (5-0-3) got on the board first, scoring in the 25th minute at
Brady Housley scored off a rebound after a shot from
Liva Rabeary was deflected by the keeper. The first half saw Bushnell earn a 7-6 advantage in shot attempts.
The second half belonged to the visitors as they out-shot Bushnell 7-3. The Yotes (0-3-4, 0-0-3) claimed the game-tying goal in the 51st minute as Mitch Camerson scored off a pass from Greyson Pew.
UP NEXT: The Beacons will be back in action on Saturday night, playing host to Eastern Oregon University (1-1-3, 1-0-1) at 7:00 pm.
