Wednesday 4/10, Rocket League vs University of Central Missouri
Bushnell is competing in a league run by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). They played six best-of-seven matches in the 43-team Contenders Division, coming away with an undefeated 6-0 record to win their conference.
The Beacons are the No. 2 seed in the 24-team postseason. They earned a first-round bye before defeating Kean University, 4-2, in the Round of 16 to advance to the Quarterfinals. Bushnell will take on the University of Central Missouri on Wednesday at 5:00.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Thursday-Saturday 4/11-13 at NAIA West Tournament
The regular season is in the rear-view mirror as the Beacons now prepare for their third straight trip to the NAIA West Regional Tournament. The winner will earn the NAIA West's automatic bid to the NAIA National Invitational later this month.
CCC RESULTS: Bushnell (6-17, 4-8 CCC) was able to take a win over RV Southern Oregon in their final conference game on Sunday and finished the regular season in fourth-place in the Cascade Conference. Corban, ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, won the regular season championship at 11-1. Southern Oregon (9-3) too second, followed by The College of Idaho (7-6) in third.
The Beacons were well-represented in the CCC Post-Season Awards this week. Senior
Halle Neumann was named the conference Co-Attacker of the Year while
Sydney Myhre and
Laci Jespersen were named a First-Team All-CCC Pair. Bushnell was also named the winner of the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award.
NAIA WEST TOURNAMENT: As one of the top-four teams from the CCC, Bushnell will join the top-four teams from the California Pacific Conference this week at the NAIA West Regional in Chula Vista, California.
The Beacons are the CCC's No. 4 seed in the tournament and will face off against the Cal-Pac's top-seed and NAIA No. 9-ranked Westcliff University to open pool play at 11:00 am. Bushnell will also take on Park-Gilbert and Southern Oregon in pool play, two teams who the Bushnell has already knocked off this season.
WESTCLIFF: The Warriors, currently ranked No. 9 in the NAIA, finished the regular season with a 10-5 record and tied for the CalPac regular-season championship at 7-1. Bushnell has only faced off with Westcliff once, falling 5-0 last season at the NAIA West Tournament.
SOUTHERN OREGON: SOU, currently receiving votes in the NAIA national poll, finished the season in second-place in the Cascade Conference. The Raiders bounced back from their loss to the Beacons on Saturday to had CCC Champion Corban their only loss of the season, 3-2. The Beacons are 5-2 all-time against SOU with the Raiders taking two-of-three during the regular season.
PARK-GILBERT: The Buccaneers went 5-19 during the regular season and finished 3-5 to tie for third-place in the California Pacific Conference and earn the CalPac's No. 3 seed. Park-Gilbert holds a 3-2 lead over the Beacons in the all-time series and the teams split a pair of matches during the 2024 pre-season.
TRACK & FIELD
Friday-Saturday 4/12-13 at Lewis & Clark

After a week hiatus, the Bushnell track & field teams will be back in action this week at two meets.
LEWIS & CLARK INVITATIONAL: The majority of the Bushnell Track & Field team will be competing this weekend at the Lewis & Clark Invitational in Portland. With just a few short weeks and a handful of events remaining before the post-season, this weekend will be a crucial opportunity for the Beacons to earn more qualifications to the Cascade Conference Championships.
BRIAN CLAY INVITATIONAL: Five Bushnell athletes have qualified to compete in the elite Brian Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. Freshman
Jermaine Schexnayder will be competing in both the high jump and triple jump, and is joined in the triple jump by
Ty Kishen and
Kaleo Wellman.
Taylor Huffman competes in the men's javelin while
Mayah Pappas qualified for the women's long jump.
BASEBALL

Bushnell (19-18, 6-6 CCC) returns to the Hamlin Sports Complex this weekend, hosting Corban University in a four-game series. The Beacons are looking to get back on track this week after being swept by the University of British Columbia.
CCC OUTLOOK: Lewis-Clark State (23-9, 13-3) and Oregon Tech (23-13, 9-3) sit at the top of the standings. The Warriors are ranked No. 8 in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll, while the Owls are receiving votes. UBC (26-13, 11-5), who is also receiving votes, is third, followed by Bushnell (19-18, 6-6) in fourth.
Bushnell ranks fourth in the CCC in batting with a .286 average. The Beacons are fourth in both doubles (69) and home runs (35).
Chase Nye leads the Beacons in batting with a .333 average, 14th in the conference. The freshman has 16 RBI and has struck out just nine times through 27 games.
Isaiah Hart is second on the team in batting with a .325 average.
Albert Jennings is hitting .316 and ranks ninth in the conference in doubles (11) and home runs (6).
Jordan Wilson is hitting .319 and ranks among conference leaders in hits (49 – 5th) and home runs (9 – 4th).
The pitching staff holds a combined 6.01 ERA, fourth among CCC schools.
Kai Keamo has a 4.72 ERA through seven starts with a team-leading 36 strikeouts.
Daniel Furman has had a strong senior campaign, recording 24 strikeouts in 22.1 innings of relief with a 4.03 ERA.
Trevor Hammond is second in wins with five, while
Colby Knutzen leads the conference in saves with five.
CORBAN: The Warriors (9-25, 4-8 CCC) won three of four games against Eastern Oregon in their last time out.
Corban is hitting .263 as a team, sixth in the CCC. The Warriors are led by senior first baseman Nainoa Ka'ahanui, who is hitting .366, fifth in the conference. Ka'ahanui ranks third in the conference in doubles with 13. Senior outfielder Brad Pellkofer ranks among CCC leaders in doubles (10 – 12th) and home runs (7 – 7th).
The Warriors hold a 11.56 ERA as a team, seventh in the conference. Hayden Van Acker (min 1 IP/G) is 14th in the conference with a 7.46 mark in nine starts. Avery Willamson leads the team in strikeouts with 28.
Bushnell holds an 11-4 edge in the all-time series with Corban.
SOFTBALL

Bushnell (9-26, 3-15 CCC) split a four-game series with the University of Providence last weekend, taking two-of-three in the CCC series. Having won three of their last five games, the Beacons are aiming to move up in the CCC standings this week as they take on winless Corban University.
CCC OUTLOOK: The Cascade Conference continues to be one of the strongest in the NAIA and is home to four Top-25 teams. Oregon Tech is ranked No. 5, followed by No. 10 Southern Oregon, No. 15 Eastern Oregon, and No. 21 College of Idaho. In addition, British Columbia continues to receive votes.
Now leading the CCC is Eastern Oregon at 16-2. They hold a one-game lead over OIT, SOU, and CI who are all tied at 15-3. Bushnell is currently sitting in eighth-place in the conference and are six-games behind Carroll and UBC for the final spot in the conference tournament.
Bushnell ranks eighth in the CCC in hitting (.230 BA), seventh in pitching (4.37 ERA), and tenth in fielding (.932). The Beacons are third in the conference with 31 sacrifice bunts and fifh in the CCC with eight sac flies.
Faith Wayman leads Bushnell with a .342 batting average and is fifth in conference with nine doubles. Madi Steelman is eighth in the CCC with 12 stolen bases. In the circle,
Emily Cole is third for innings pitched (111.1), eighth for strikeouts (67) and 13th with a 3.40 ERA.
Defensively,
Hannah Tennant leads the CCC with 210 putouts and has not committed an error. She is currently riding a Bushnell-record streak of 428 consecutive errorless chances.
CORBAN: The Warriors have had a less-than ideal season thus far, going 1-35 on the season and currently riding a 28-game losing streak. They are still looking for their first conference win as they attempt to avoid becoming the first CCC team to ever go winless. They are being outscored by 6.9 runs per game this season and are striking out once every 3.3 at bats.
The Warriors are batting .155 as a team, .128 points under the conference average. They are ninth in the CCC in pitching with a 8.54 ERA and they are eighth defensively with a .943 fielding percentage.
Sydney Spickelmier leads the Corban offense, hitting .231. She has team-bests of 18 hits, three doubles, one triple, one home run, and seven RBI. Vanessa Quinones (0-13) leads the pitching staff with a 5.83 ERA. She has 48 strikeouts in 93.2 innings of work and has thrown four complete games. Jody Fischer, Corban's primary pinch-runner, is sixth in the CCC with 16 stolen bases, despite officially reaching base just 15 times this season.
Corban holds a 53-17 lead in the all-time series with the Beacons, and has won four straight including a three-game sweep of the 2022 series.
GOLF
Monday - Tuesday 4/15-16 at Lewis-Clark State
Bushnell competes in the third regular season conference tournament early next week. LC State will host the tournament at the Lewiston Golf Club. On the men's side, the Beacons are tied for eighth in the conference standings after two of four events. The women will be competing as individuals.
