OFFICIAL RESULTS
SOLVANG, Calif. – The Bushnell men's golf team shot a 309 in Tuesday's second round, and slipped to a fourth-place finish at the Dutch Classic, hosted by The Master's University at Alisal Ranch Golf Course.
The Beacons finished with a 305-309—614, and finished two shots behind Oregon Tech. Host Master's won the tournament, shooting a combined 12-under, to defeat second-place Hope International by 44 strokes. The Royals, in turn, beat out Oregon Tech by three strokes.
Playing as an individual,
Peyton Wiedenmann led the way for the Beacons, shooting an even-par second-round to finish with a 74-72—146.
Bushnell's day-one leader
Isaac Wells, and reigning CCC Player of the Week
Benjamin Lovrod tied to lead the Bushnell team in 15th-place as individuals, both with a combined seven-over 151. Wells shot a one-over 73 in Monday's first round, the best round of the tournament for the team.
Connor Cameron and
Talon Larson finished tied for 18th at 156. Larson (pictured) had a crazy round two that included six birdies and three pars.
Jacob Holmes had to withdraw from the first round due to illness and did not compete on Tuesday.
The Beacons will now have a week off to prepare for their next Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament, the British Columbia Invitational, taking place in Bremerton, Washington at the Gold Mountain Golf Club from October 21-22.
