FINAL RESULTS

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Bushnell men's golf team closed out the Warrior Fall Invitational with their best round on Tuesday, leaving Lewiston Golf and Country Club with a sixth-place finish.

Bushnell shot a 303-306-298-907 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference event, ending the event five shots out of fourth-place and four behind Southern Oregon in fifth. The Beacons enjoyed a comfortable 26-shot advantage over seventh-place Corban.

Head Coach Nathan Wiedenmann said, "This was a tough tournament that gave us a lot to take away and learn. We did a better job in the final 18 holes hitting greens in regulation, but we were just too far back to make the climb up the leaderboard."

Peyton Wiedenmann (pictured) led the way for the Beacons, tying for 16th-place as he shot 74-77-72—223.

Playing as Bushnell's individual and not counting toward the team score, senior Connor Cameron (70-81-73—224) closed strong, and finished in 19th place, just one stroke behind Wiedenmann.

Luke Fenner (74-76-78—228) and Lincoln Wiedenmann (78-76-74—228) were next, tied for 28th place. Lincoln's day was highlighted by an Eagle on the 517-yard par-5 13th.

Shawn Petty (77-77-75—229) closed the tournament in 32nd place while Trison Hedges  (79-78-77—234) took 40th.

"Learning to let go of bad holes is a learned skill set," added Coach Wiedenmann. "These are all learning moments, gentle reminders of God's grace and gentle reminders to be kind to yourself, kind to those around you and how to practice humility in discouragement.

"We host our tournament next week and I am confident that we will bounce back strong. The entire team will be able to play and we are excited to watch everyone compete."

Up Next: The Beacons host the Tall Timbers Invitational next week. On Monday the event will take place at Eugene Country Club for the first 18 holes before moving to Blue River, Oregon at Tokatee Golf Club on Tuesday.
