EUGENE, Ore. – Willamette University added to their day-one lead at the Tall Timbers Invitational, finishing with a 15-stroke victory over Linfield University.

After the first day at Eugene Country Club, the tournament, hosted by Bushnell University, concluded at Emerald Valley Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Bearcats finished at 19-over par collectively with a two-round score of 301-294—595. Linfield (314-296—610) claimed second-place followed closely by the top Cascade Conference finisher, College of Idaho (314-299—613). The C of I "B" team (319-306—626) followed in fourth with host Bushnell (320-306—626) rounding out the top-five.

Corban University (327-301—628) took sixth, beating out Lewis-Clark State (320-309—629) by one stroke. The LC State Warriors are currently receiving votes in the NAIA national coaches poll. Southwestern Oregon Community College (328-307—635) finished the tournament in eighth place while the Linfield "B" team (322-320—642) was ninth.

Brock Olson from the Bearcats shot a one-under par (73-70—143) to win the tournament by three strokes over Linfield's Douglas Bailey (78-68—146). Carson King (76-73—149) and Lucas Rynerson (76-74—150) from The College of Idaho were third and fourth respectively, followed by a group of four golfers, including three from Willamette, tied for fifth. For the host Beacons,
Benjamin Lovrod (82-72—154, pictured) posted a ten-stroke round-over-round improvement and was the top finisher for Bushnell in 12th place. He owned one of just five par-or-better rounds in the tournament.

Talon Larson (78-78—156) took 17th for Bushnell, followed by
Isaac Wells (83-75—158) and
Peyton Wiedenmann (77-81—158) who tied for 28th.

Playing as an individual,
Trison Hedges (79-77—156) tied Larson for 17th while
Connor Cameron (87-80—167),
Jacob Holmes (89-79—168), and
Justin Walton (106-92—198) also competed. Â
