EUGENE, Ore. –  Bushnell Esports continued its season in the ECAC, picking up wins in Valorant and Rocket League.

SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE (SSBU)
Week 4: Southern Arkansas 2, Bushnell 0 (12-6, 12-6)

The Beacons are competing in their first official SSBU season, debuting with a roster of eight. The format of SSBU is 4v4 Crew Battles. Teams are assigned opponents of similar records each week and play a best-of-three series.Â

Bushnell fell in their fourth-week match to Southern Arkansas, dropping to 1-3 on the season.

Zack Claunch was placed into the top division (Division A) of competition, representing Bushnell in its first appearance of TFT. Every Monday, Claunch will have two matches, competing in an eight-way free-for-all format.

Claunch had his best week of the season, posting 15 points (1
st, 2
nd) to move up to 21
st (49 points) on the leaderboard in the 48-competitor field. There are two weeks to go in the regular season. Claunch will need to find himself among the top 16 by the end of the seven-week regular season in order to advance to the playoffs.

Week 5: Bushnell 2, John Jay 0 (13-10, 13-7)

Bushnell Valorant is back after a year off, featuring three new members to the starting lineup.

Nathan Farris,
Zack Claunch and
Connor DeVeny will play on Tuesday of each week, competing in a best-of-three matchup.

The Valorant season, consisting of 232 teams, is broken into nine divisions based on rank. The Beacons were placed in Division A, the second-highest level of competition. At the end of the regular season, the top 4 teams from each conference will advance to the postseason. Â Â Â

Bushnell avoided a game three for the first time since the season opener, sweeping John Jay College on Tuesday evening, 2-0. The Beacons are among the top 4 on the leaderboard entering their final match. With five teams still in contention, a win in the regular season finale would guarantee Bushnell a spot in the postseason. The Beacons have their bye week before taking on Ball State University on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 5:00 p.m.

ROCKET LEAGUE
Week 3: Bushnell 4, UNC – Charlotte 1 (3-1, 4-1, 3-1, 1-3, 3-2)

Bushnell Rocket League returns with their strongest starting lineup in program history.

Brec Feehan will play on Wednesday of each week, competing in a best-of-seven matchup.

The Beacons got in the win column on Monday, defeating UNC – Charlotte, 4-1. Vamos, Wagner, Feehan and
Kyle Foss all saw time in the match. Up next Bushnell takes on Merrimack College on Wednesday, October 30 at 5:00 p.m.

Week 6: Bushnell 2, WVU Potomac State College

Caden Hoerauf is representing Bushnell in Madden. He will be assigned an opponent of similar record each week, playing a best-of-three series every Thursday night. There are 113 colleges participating in the fall.

Hoerauf moved to 3-3 on the season, falling to Russell Sage College before earning another forfeit win, this time against WVU Potomac State College.
