EUGENE, Ore. –  Bushnell Esports wrapped up another week in the ECAC, earning wins in SSBU, FC 25 and Madden. Teamfight Tactics, Valorant and Rocket League continued the grind in one of the top divisions of play.

SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE (SSBU)
Week 3: Bushnell 2, CSU – Monterey Bay 0

The Beacons are competing in their first official SSBU season, debuting with a roster of eight. The format of SSBU is 4v4 Crew Battles. Teams are assigned opponents of similar records each week and play a best-of-three series.Â

Bushnell earned its first win of the year due to a no-show from CSU – Monterey Bay. The match was rescheduled to Wednesday by the Otters, but they were unable to make their own rescheduled time. Up next, a match with Southern Arkansas University on Monday, Oct. 21 at 5:00 p.m.Â

TEAMFIGHT TACTICS (TFT)
Week 1: 10 points (T-18th)

Zack Claunch was placed into the top division (Division A) of competition, representing Bushnell in its first appearance of TFT. Every Monday, Claunch will have two matches, competing in an eight-way free-for-all format.

Claunch had his best week of the season, posting 11 points to move up a spot to 27
th (34 points) on the leaderboard in the 48-competitor field. There are three weeks to go in the regular season. Claunch will need to find himself among the top 16 by the end of the seven-week regular season in order to advance to the playoffs.

VALORANT
Week 4: Seneca Polytechnic 2, Bushnell 1 (14-12, 8-13, 13-10)

Bushnell Valorant is back after a year off, featuring three new members to the starting lineup.

Nathan Farris,
Zack Claunch and
Connor DeVeny will play on Tuesday of each week, competing in a best-of-three matchup.

The Valorant season, consisting of 232 teams, is broken into nine divisions based on rank. The Beacons were placed in Division A, the second-highest level of competition. At the end of the regular season, the top 4 teams from each conference will advance to the postseason. Â Â Â

Bushnell once again went to game three on Tuesday, but this time fell short, dropping to 2-2 on the season. The Beacons remain in postseason contention as they take on John Jay College (1-2) on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 5:00 p.m.

ROCKET LEAGUE
Week 2: Keiser University - Sarasota 4, Bushnell 3 (2-3, 1-3, 6-2, 2-4, 1-0, 4-2, 5-2)

Bushnell Rocket League returns with their strongest starting lineup in program history.

The Beacons once again fell in game seven going up 3-1 in the series before falling in three straight games. Up next is a match against UNC - Charlotte on Monday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m.

Andrew Bennett is representing Bushnell in FC 25, previously known as FIFA. He will be assigned an opponent of similar record each week, playing a best-of-three series every Monday night. There are 141 teams participating in the fall.

Bennett recorded his first win of the year due to an opponent no-show. Up next, a match with UMass Dartmouth on Monday, Oct. 21 at 5:00 p.m.

MADDEN

Caden Hoerauf is representing Bushnell in Madden. He will be assigned an opponent of similar record each week, playing a best-of-three series every Thursday night. There are 113 colleges participating in the fall.

Hoerauf's improved to 2-2 on the season as his opponent once again did not show up for Thursday's match time. His week five opponent has not been assigned.

FORTNITE
Week 1: 150 points (47th)

Fortnite competes in four zero build trios tournaments, taking place every other week. Points are earned based on placement and eliminations. At the end of each five-game tournament, the top team from each of the four lobbies will advance to the playoffs. The 17 remaining teams will qualify based on points earned throughout the four tournaments.

Nathan Farris, Grayson Bolanos and
Nick McGowen represented Bushnell in their first-ever trios tournament. The Beacons finished with 150 points, putting them in 47
th out of 112 teams on the leaderboard. The second week results have not been posted, however Bushnell is expected to move up the leaderboard due to four top-10 finishes.Â

Bushnell will need to find themselves within the top 33 teams at the end of the fourth tournament in order to qualify for the postseason.Â
