EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell Esports continued the spring slate last week, picking up their first win of the season with a victory over George Fox in Valorant. Fortnite competed in the Spring Collegiate Championship, taking ninth place in the tournament.
ROCKET LEAGUE
The Rocket League regular season consists of six rounds of conference play. All matches are a best-of-five games. At the end of the Regular Season, three Rosters from each Division that have the best overall Records (W-L) will move on to the Playoffs.
Oklahoma Christian 3, Bushnell 1 (1-4, 0-1, 3-2, 2-4)
The Beacons fell to Oklahoma Christian (3-0) on Monday night. OC took the first two games, holding off Bushnell in game two with a lone goal at the 1:42 mark.
The Beacons trailed 2-1 with under 20 seconds ago in game three before
Cole Vamos took one in on his own to tie it up and send the game to overtime.
Lucas Fenton, who tallied eight saves on the match, knocked in the game-winner nearly four minutes into the overtime period.
OC took the match with a 4-2 win in game four.

Irvine Valley College 3, Bushnell 0 (2-0, 1-0, 1-0)
Bushnell fell to 0-4 on Tuesday evening but Irvine Valley has since then dropped out of the conference, meaning the results of the match are up in the air.
Up next, Bushnell takes on Cornell College (4-1) on Tuesday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m.
VALORANT
The Valorant regular season consists of six rounds of conference play. All matches are a best-of-three games. At the end of the Regular Season, six Rosters from each Division that have the best overall Records (W-L) will move on to the Playoffs.
Bushnell 2, George Fox 1 (4-13, 13-7, 13-8)
The sides were tied at 2-2 on Icebox but Bushnell was unable to recover after dropping the next six rounds. The Beacons answered by cruising to a win on Haven after leading 10-2 at the swap on the defensive side. Bushnell then started on defense on the decisive map three, Pearl, and trailed 7-5 at the swap before going 8-1 on attack to earn their first win of the spring season.

FORTNITE
The NACE Starleague Collegiate Series featuring Fortnite (Split 1) takes place over the course of four tournaments, three Regional Opens followed by the Collegiate Championship. During each regional qualifier, rosters are invited into custom lobbies to play four matches. Teams earn points based on placement and eliminations. The top-three finishers from each West qualifier earn a direct bid to the Collegiate Championship on March 4.Â
Bushnell – 9th
Christian Velazquez and
Ethan Slayden finished with 65 points (54 placement, 11 eliminations) at the Collegiate Championship on Saturday. York University won the event, tallying 151 points on the tournament with 53 points earned via eliminations. St. Bonaventure University and the University of Maryland tied for second place with 118 points apiece.
The Beacons took 11

rd, 12
th in the first three matches before winning the fourth. Slayden tallied five eliminations in the Victory Royale. The pair dropped to ninth after early exits in the final two matches.
