Bushnell Esports: Weekly Recap

EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell Esports competed in Rocket League, Overwatch 2 and Valorant this week, falling in all three matches.

The Beacons conclude NACE Rocket League play on Monday. Overwatch 2 is on their bye week, while Valorant competes on Wednesday.

ROCKET LEAGUE
The Rocket League regular season consists of six rounds of conference play. All matches are a best-of-five games. At the end of the Regular Season, three Rosters from each Division that have the best overall Records (W-L) will move on to the Playoffs.

Missouri 3, Bushnell 0 (1-2, 1-2, 4-5)
Bushnell dropped all three games by a one-goal deficit, including overtime losses in games two and three. The Beacons held a 4-2 lead with under 40 seconds to go in game three, but Missouri managed to tie it up and knock in the decider 33 seconds into the overtime period.  

Cole Vamos: 3 goals, 1 assist, 8 saves
Kyle Foss: 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 saves
Lucas Fenton: 1 goal, 7 saves

Within the four matches this season which are all a best-of-five games, the Beacons have fallen by just one goal in seven of 12 losses. In total, the average margin of these losses is 1.67 goals per game.

Up next, Bushnell will play a doubleheader on Monday, March 13, taking on Stone Child College (0-4) at 5:30 p.m. and Colorado College (2-3) at 7 p.m. to conclude the spring season.

OVERWATCH 2
The Overwatch regular season consists of six rounds of conference play. All matches are a best-of-five games. At the end of the Regular Season, six Rosters from each Division that have the best overall Records (W-L) will move on to the Playoffs.

Cornell College 3, Bushnell 0 (0-2, 2-3, 0-1)
Bushnell (1-4) was swept by Cornell (5-1) on Tuesday evening. The Beacons sit in a tie for fifth in the conference standings with one game to go in the regular season. The team will see at least one postseason match.

Up next, Bushnell takes on Colorado College (1-3) on Tuesday, March 21 at 5:30 p.m.

VALORANT
The Valorant regular season consists of six rounds of conference play. All matches are a best-of-three games. At the end of the Regular Season, six Rosters from each Division that have the best overall Records (W-L) will move on to the Playoffs.

Keyano College, Bushnell 0 (3-13, 3-13)
The Beacons (1-3) were outmatched by the Huskies (4-0) on Wednesday evening. Keyano remains undefeated in the conference heading into the last two weeks. Bushnell sits in fifth in the standings with matches against Wisconsin – Stout (4-0) and Neumont College (0-4) coming up.
