CARSON, Wash. – The Bushnell University men's golf team wrapped up the Multnomah Invitational on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in seventh place.

The Multnomah Invitational, played at the Elk Ridge Golf Course, is the second of three regular season Cascade Collegiate Conference tournaments. The third CCC event will be hosted by Walla Walla on April 3-4 before Bushnell hosts the CCC Championship on April 24-26.

Entering the day, just nine strokes separated third through seventh place. The Beacons were unable to make up ground in the final round, finishing at 298-301-314—913 as a team. British Columbia (280-286-282—848) won the tournament followed by Lewis-Clark State (284-285-288—857) in second.

The final team standings are: (1) British Columbia 848, (2) LC State 857, (3) Oregon Tech 898, (4) Multnomah 902, (5) Walla Walla 904, (6) College of Idaho 905, (7) Bushnell 913, (8) Southern Oregon 917, (9) Corban 929.

UBC's JP Kahlert (69-71-69—209) earned medalist honors as four Thunderbirds finished among the top 10. LC State also made up four of the top-10 spots.

Bushnell was led by a tenth-place finish from
Caden Stubbs (72-73-75—220).
Benjamin Lovrod (78-72-76—226) tied for 20
th, thanks to a career-best second round on Monday.

Lovrod said, "The course was in a great location in the middle of the gorge, and we were fortunate to be able to play at such a scenic course. We didn't have our best performance this week, but we have a couple takeaways to work on these next few weeks at practice. We look forward to learning from this experience and we will be ready to go the next time we tee up."

Elliot Wallace (73-79-79—231) matched his second-round score on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 33rd, while
Hayden Lazeo (81-77-84—242) tied for 39
th.

Up next, the Beacons travel to Solvang, California to compete in the TMU Danish Classic at the Alisal Ranch Golf Course.
