Webb Places Third at Walla Walla Invite

WALLA WALLA, Wash.Andrew Webb secured third place at the Walla Walla Invitational to help the Bushnell University men's golf team to a fourth-place finish on Tuesday at the Wine Valley Golf Course.
 
Webb finished 73-69-72—214 (-2) to put him in a tie for the sixth best three-round tournament score in school history. Already a member of the 60's club, Webb has now posted four scores in this category, ranking him third all-time for the Beacons.
 
Director of Golf Larry Watts said, "We competed hard today but didn't finish strong. I am really proud of Andrew's consistency and his willingness to keep learning. As a team we are going to have to improve to compete for the conference championship."
 
Despite dropping two spots in the team standings, Bushnell recorded its fourth-best three-round tournament score in school history with a 295-296-297—888 (+24).
 
Caden Stubbs (73-74-75—222) remained consistent, finishing in a three-way tie for 13th. Jackson Muramoto (74-77-72—223) posted his best round of the tournament on Tuesday to finish 16th. Benjamin Lovrod (77-77-78—232) took 21st, while Connor Maloney (75-76-83—234) finished in a tie for 24th.
 
Lewis-Clark State (861) won the team title, finishing 3-under on the tournament. Multnomah (884) took second and Montana Tech (887) finished just one stoke ahead of the Beacons for third place. Walla Walla (916), Corban (939), Puget Sound (950) and Columbia Basin (971) made up the next four placements.
 
Carlos Davila (212) of LC State earned medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 4-under. Sean Ramsbacher (213) of Montana Tech, the leader entering they day, and Webb (214), who was tied for second, both dropped one spot in the final standings.  
 
Up next, the Beacons compete in a Cascade Collegiate Conference event, the Corban Invitational, on April 11-12 in Salem.
