LEWISTON, Idaho – The Bushnell University men's golf team placed sixth at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by Lewis-Clark State College on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Beacons maintained their sixth-place position on Tuesday, finishing 302-306-304--912 on the tournament. The Warrior Invite is the second of three fall Cascade Collegiate Conference events and will count toward the final conference standings.
 
Caden Stubbs led the Beacons, finishing 72-75-77—224 to tie for 21^st. Jackson Muramoto (78-78-73—229) moved up six spots to finish in 28^th place after improving by five strokes in the third round.
 
Andrew Webb (75-75-84—234) and Benjamin Lovrod (77-84-73—234) finished in a tie for 37^th, with Lovrod posting the best round of his collegiate career on Tuesday (73). Cole Radbourne (81-78-81--240) tied for 41^st.
 
Connor Maloney (71-78-82—231) tied for 31^st, competing as an individual.
 
Maloney (pictured) said, "It was a fun weekend in Lewiston with the team. Although the leaderboard didn't end up the way we wanted, everyone fought hard, and we all played for each other. We are looking forward to our home tournament in a couple weeks and will certainly use these past couple days as motivation for the next event.
 
Devon Caruso (71-65-71—207) of Lewis-Clark State earned medalist honors. No. 15 British Columbia and LC State tied for the team win. The remaining team scores were: North Idaho (873), Oregon Tech (890), Multnomah (892), Bushnell (912), College of Idaho (935), Walla Walla (946), Corban (952).
