EUGENE, Ore. – Another new game made its official debut for Bushnell Esports this week as Fortnite became the sixth to be sponsored by the Beacons.
 
The duo of Christian "Pezkyyy" Velazquez and Tyller "Tywheezel" Hedden had strong performances in their opening pair of 50-team Battle Royal competitions, taking 11th and 12th place respectively. In the opening battle, they collected four eliminations.
 
Each Monday throughout the season, the team will continue to play at 5:00 pm, facing off against Duo's from colleges around the country in the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE)-sponsored event. They will receive points throughout the year based on their finish in each Battle Royale.
 
The Beacon League of Legends season also continued on Saturday with a match against Mount Royal University. The Beacons swept the Cougars for their second win of the season, improving to 2-1 on the year. Bushnell owned commanding victories in both games and were once again led by Colton "Sac De Lait" Osten-Milbert.
 
League of Legends will return to action next Saturday at 3:00 pm.
