REDDING, Calif. – Save for the Alumni Ryder Cup event coming up on Sunday, the Beacons closed out their fall run on Tuesday as they played the final round at the Simpson University Fall Invitational, taking place at Gold Hills Golf Course.
 
The Beacon men took fourth place in the event, shooting a two-round team score of 678. Oregon Tech, the only other CCC school competing, shot a 620 to win the event by six strokes over the hosts.
 
NCU's top individual was 
Josh Goins who finished in a three-way tie for 11th place, scoring 160. 
Jack Singleton took 17th place (167) followed by 
Paul Smoot (19th, 169) and 
Levi Dean (24th, 182).
 
For the women, freshman 
Kelsie Hellwege led the way, rebounding from an opening-round 102 to shoot a 92 on Tuesday, tying for tenth place. 
Mackenzie Galick followed in 14th place with a two-round total of 217.
