Josh Goins put together another solid tournament this week, taking seventh place at the Coastal Collegiate Classic at Salishan Golf Links.

Goins shot a three-round 216 (+3) to finish tied for seventh. He was the top Cascade Conference finisher in a field of 82 total golfers from 16 teams. He held a five-stroke edge over Chris Carew from The College of Idaho who was the second-best CCC golfer on the week. Goins also shot a third-round 69, the only sub-par round of the tournament from CCC competition.

Texas Wesleyan rolled to the team title as they defeated Rocky Mountain College by 11 strokes. TWU's Leo Mathard (-11) and Rowan Lester (-8) were the top two individuals.

As a team, NCU didn't fare quite as well, taking 14th place.
Levi Dean finished 54th (239),
Jack Singleton was 72nd (255) and
Paul Smoot was 77th (258).

The Beacons will be back in action on October 23 when they travel to Redding, California for the Simpson University Invitational.
