KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Beacons final non-conference tournament has come and gone after a ninth-place finish in the Oregon Tech Invitational, held at the Running Y Ranch on Monday and Tuesday.

The Beacons were led once again by sophomore
Josh Goins who used a third-round 72 to jump up to a 12th-Place finish after a rough set of rounds on Monday. Goins finished with a score of 227 (77-78-72) to finish 12 shots behind tourney winner Johnnie Greco from William Jessup University.

Jessup also took home the team title with a three-round score of 889 to finish five strokes ahead of Oregon Tech. Corban University was third (909).

After ending day one tied for the NCU lead,
Paul Smoot (pictured) finished the event in 36th place (78-77-82—237).
Austin Dame followed in 50th at 243 and
Levi Dean was close behind in 50th (247).

Also golfing for the Beacons were
Jack Singleton (253) and
Tristan Ivie (258).

NCU will be back in action next week when they open up the Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule with the Corban University Invitational.Â
