HERMISTON, Ore. – Like their female counterparts, the NCU men's track & field team set new school records with 41 points and a sixth-place finish at the CCC Championships. Leading the way on Saturday was sophomore
Garrett Kraal who grabbed third-place in the 5000m run.

Kraal, who also finished third at the CCC Cross Country Championships, was the second NCU runner to earn all-conference honors this weekend and the second in school history. He was just a half-second away from breaking his own school record, running a 14:53.80.

The men's javelin also provided points for the Beacons as
Garth Gant and
Christian Hackney finished fourth and fifth respectively. For Hackney it was on the back of a new season best mark (56.23m).

Points were also scored for NCU by
Micah Jury in the 400m Hurdles and Antonio Campos in the 200m. Jury took sixth place while Campos finished in eighth.

A sixth –place finish was also in cards for the men's 4x400m relay team which closed out the championship event with a new school record, running a 3:25.80.
