ASHLAND, Ore. – Four school records were cleared this weekend at the Southern Oregon University Raider Invitational. Leading the way was senior
Garth Gant (pictured) who won the javelin event with a best-ever mark of 56.73.

Gant qualified for the finals in fifth place but blew everyone away in the championship round with his second throw. Gant won the event by nearly a full meter and broke
Christian Hackney's school-record by 0.55 meters. Hackney was third in the prelims and finish fourth (54.17m).

Breaking his own mark in the pole vault was freshman
Michael Andrews, clearing 3.79m.

On the track, freshman Antonio Campos defeated the school 200m record with a time of 22.52, clearing the Cascade Conference qualifying mark in the process.

Also falling on Saturday was the 4x800m relay record as
TJ Wright,
Taylor Kraal,
Joseph Miller and
Conner Covey posted an 8:06.96, six seconds better than the previous record.
