Final ResultsKLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men's golf team opened the Cascade Collegiate Conference season this week at the Oregon Tech Invitational, claiming a fifth place finish. The Beacons were fourth among CCC Teams.

The Beacons scored a combined team total of 933, putting themselves just five shots behind CCC second-place finisher College of Idaho. Host OIT ran away with the team title, scoring a combined 11-under par 853 over the three-round event. Â

Individually, senior
Cody Gardner (pictured) led the way with a sixth-place finish. He was the first CCC finisher after the top four spots which were swept by OIT Owls. Cody scored a 71-76-72—219, improving 16 strokes over his previous best three-round score. His opening round 71 on Monday was the best of his career and he had the second par-or-better round of his career on Tuesday, closing the event with a 72.

Sophomore
Austin Dame followed in 14th place with his own career-best round of 75 to close out the tournament. Dame shot 80-76-75—231 and was followed in 17th place by freshman
Josh Goins (82-76-75—233).

Tristan Ivie (49th, 258).
