BLUE RIVER, Ore. – Sophomore
Austin Dame led the NCU team scoring with a fourth-place finish at the New Hope Invitational. The event, taking place at Tokatee Golf Course was won by Corban University who claimed a 20-stroke victory over NCU.

Dame finished day two with an 81, giving him a two-round score of 161 to finish seven shots off the pace. He was followed in eighth by
Levi Dean (79-87—166) and
Jack Singleton in tenth (84-85—169).

Rounding out the team scoring were
Josh Goins in 12th (85-87—172) and
Tristan Ivie in 13th (86-88—174). The Beacons finished with a score of 668 during the two-round event which the Warriors won with a score of 648.

Trey Harbick of host New Hope Christian won the individual title by three shots, firing a 76-78—154 to be the only play who fired under 80 in both rounds. Corban's Aaron Seabrook took second-place, shooting an 81-76—157.

Two other Beacons also competed individually. Senior
Cody Gardner ended the event in third place, shooting 158 while
Jack Hackman scored a 196 to take 16th.

The NCU golf team will turn around quickly, heading to Klamath Falls next Monday to begin play in the first CCC tournament of the season, hosted by Oregon Tech at Running Y Golf Course.Â
