SALEM, Ore. - NCU jumped head first into the first event of the spring on Monday and Tuesday, competing at the Corban Spring Invitational.
 
With just three golfers currently on the roster, NCU will compete as individuals this spring and will not earn team scores. Leading the way for the trio of individuals was sophomore Sam Mar, finishing in 12th place. After hitting a two-under 69 in Monday's second round, Mar slipped back with a 79 on Tuesday, finishing the event with a score of 222.
 
Freshman Austin Dame finished in 42nd, scoring a 248 while freshman Jack Hackman (pictured) carded a 268 to take 45th.
 
The Beacons will be back in action again next month at the NCU Invitational, hosted by the Beacons at Springfield Country Club on April 13-14.
