PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men's golf team continued their fall schedule this week, participating in the Warner Pacific Invitational. NCU took tenth place overall but were fourth amongst CCC schools in the conference event.

Leading the way was
Cody Gardner who used an opening-round 74 to claim 26th place with a three-round total of 231. Gardner was eighth among CCC golfers. Freshman
Josh Goins was right behind with a 232 to place him tenth in the CCC standings for the event.

Also golfing were
Levi Dean (237, 15th CCC) as well as
Jack Singleton (pictured) (247),
Austin Dame (249), and
Tristan Ivie (250).

Lewis-Clark State College won the overall tournament shooting a collective four-under par during the three rounds. Oregon Tech was second overall and led the CCC for the second straight event, scoring a respectable +9.

NCU ended the event just five strokes behind Warner Pacific and the Beacons were able to top both The College of Idaho and Walla Walla University.

The Beacons return to action next week with another conference event, traveling to Caldwell, Idaho for the College of Idaho Invitational.
