NAPMA, Idaho – The Northwest Christian University men's golf team posted a season-best 302 in the second round of the College of Idaho Invitational and finished the event in ninth place at Ridgecrest Golf Course.

Among CCC schools, NCU took fourth, finishing with a stroke total of 923, a new 2015 season low score. Oregon Tech was second overall and led all CCC teams with a combined 11-under par 851. Corban was next at 911, followed by host College of Idaho at 916. The Beacons landed ahead of Warner Pacific (926) and Walla Walla (977).

Individually,
Levi Dean led the way for the Beacons, shooting a 77-77-75—229 to land in a tie for 27th place. He was eighth among CCC golfers.
Austin Dame, fueled by a career-low 72 in the second round, scored a 230 which was good for 30th place overall, 12th in the CCC event.

Josh Goins (pictured) shot a 232 including a pair of 75's, taking 36th place.
Cody Gardner was 48th (79-78-81—238) and
Jack Singleton was 52nd (80-83-78—241). Also competing for the Beacons was
Tristan Ivie, taking 59th (254).

NCU will close out the fall season next week when they travel to compete in the University of Victoria Invitational.Â
