SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Northwest Christian University men's golf team took eighth place on Tuesday in the Master's College Spring Invitational at Robinson Ranch Golf Course.
NCU finished with a 314 on Tuesday giving them a three-round score of 928 after rounds of 308 and 306 on Monday. The Beacons were 36 shots behind tournament champion Cal State San Marcos.
The Beacons were led by senior
Tyler Falk, finishing in sixth place with a three-round score of 222 (71-74-77). Falk finished eight shots behind medal winner Mikey McGinn of California Lutheran University (66-77-71=214).
Posting the best round of the day for NCU, freshman
Sam Mar (pictured) closed out the event with a 76, carding a three-round 231 to earn a piece of 22nd place.
James Demopoulos (78-77-84) and
Cody Gardner (82-80-77) ended the day tied for 37th place at 239 and
Calvin Green claimed 51st place (79-83-94=256).
NCU will return to action along with the women's team on March 17 in Salem, Oregon when they play in the Corban University Invitational at Creekside Country Club. This will be the first of three conference events to close out the 2013-2014 regular season.
