Jumpers Close Indoor Season at NAIA Nationals

GAINSEVILLE, Fla.  – Senior Ty Kishen earned a new school record on Saturday, leading the Beacons at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
 
Kishen earned a tenth-place finish in the Triple Jump with a jump of 14.69m (48-02.25). His new school record breaks the mark, previously held by teammate Jermaine Schexnayder, by over six inches.
 
On Friday, Junior Kaleo Wellman opened up the championships, taking 11th in the Long Jump.  
 
Wellman's best just of 7.16m (23-06.00) was the fifth-longest in school history and came on his second jump of the competition.
 
Up Next: The 2026 Outdoor Track & Field season is underway this weekend with the Beacons competing at the Linfield Icebreaker.
