CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior Goalkeeper
Ana Augusto has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network.
The Beacons (2-1-2, 1-0 CCC) had a tremendous showing in their CCC opener, knocking off the University of Providence on the road, 2-0. Bushnell allowed just two shots on goal as Augusto earned the shutout victory between the pipes.
One shot-on-goal came in each half, with Bushnell Keeper
Ana Augusto coming up huge with a Penalty Kick save early in the second stanza.
Augusto becomes the tenth Bushnell women's soccer player to be named the CCC Defensive Player of the Week and the first to win any conference weekly award in two years.
UP NEXT: Bushnell will hit the road once again next week, traveling to face Eastern Oregon University on Friday and No. 5-ranked The College of Idaho on Saturday.
