EUGENE, Ore.  – The Bushnell women's track & field team had four more athletes punch their tickets for the Cascade Conference championships on Saturday as they competed at the Lewis & Clark College Electric Forest Collegiate Open.

Junior Maddii Desemone and Adrienne Mai (pictured) both qualified in the 100m dash with season best times. Desemone ran a 12.76 while Mai came in at 12.91, just one-one hundredth of a second off of her career best mark.

Earlier in the day, senior Kaitlin Cook claimed her qualification in the 3000m Steeplechase, taking 35 seconds off of her personal record as she posted a lifetime best time of 12:03.60. Her second-place finish was also good for the second-fastest time in the CCC so far this season.

Another senior, Faith Palmer, claimed a conference bid as well, clearing the CCC standard in the triple jump with a leap of 10.25m/33'7.5".

Other highlights of the L&C Open included a pair of season-bests and top-ten all-time finishes in the relays. The 4x100m collection of Mai, Mikayla Parrish, Desemone and Sierra Janikowski took second place with a time of 49.63 seconds, the seventh-fastest race in school history.

The 4x400m relay team also took second place. Mayah Pappas, Desemone, Cook, and Mai ran a 4:10.20 which ranks No. 9 all-time for the Beacons.

Libby Mathis also claimed a spot in the top-ten lists, posting the fifth-longest Shot Put toss in school history with a mark of 11.87m/38'11.5".

The outdoor season continues next Friday as a select number of Beacons will compete at historic Hayward Field in Eugene for the University of Oregon Preview.
