RESULTS | SPOKANE, Wash. – Four school records were set over the weekend as the Bushnell men's track & field team competed in the Riverfront Invitational.

Freshman
Maxwell Al-Rubaie made his Bushnell debut on Saturday and it was a good one as he broke an eight-year old indoor record in the shot put with a toss of 10.29m/33'09.25".

Jermaine Schexnayder (pictured) was responsible for two records, posting new Bushnell standards in both the triple jump and the high jump. On Friday, he overcame his own previous school record in the high jump, clearing 1.93 meters (6'4").

Schexnayder took down the Bushnell Triple Jump Record on Saturday, hitting the NAIA's provisional "B" standard qualification mark with a distance of 14.27m/46'10". He took fourth-place in the 18 member field and was the top non-NCAA Division I finisher. Schexnayder becomes the first Beacon to clear 14 meters and is now ranked No. 17 in the NAIA.

Another new indoor record was established on Friday as the men competed in an official indoor Distance Medley Relay for the first time in school history. The team of
Logan Gant,
Isaac Bodley,
Wyatt Pepiot, and
Sayer Pescosolido completed the course in 11 minutes, 56.45 seconds.

The men's competition featured a number of new personal bests for the Beacons, including the third-best 3000-meter time in school history, ran by Pescosolido (10:01.47).

Sophomore
Ty Kishen joined Schexnayder in the triple jump and had a huge personal record, landing at 13.30 meters for the fourth-best jump in school history.

Jah'Lin Green popped a new personal best in the 60m dash (7.24) while Pepiot (54.45) and Gant (54.56) ran the 400m for the first time. Green, Kishen,
Brett Olmstead, and
Hunter Reininger closed out the weekend with a new season-best in the 4x400m relay, finishing in 3:47.30.

Kyle Will said, "This was a very competitive weekend for us with really tough competition from a number of Division I and Division II schools. Our athletes represented us well, handled a very long weekend and I am very pleased. We will head back up to Spokane next weekend and will just continue moving forward with our eye on the prize in May."

Bushnell will be back inside the world class confines of The Podium next weekend, finishing off the indoor track & field season at the Whitworth Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
