SEATTLE, Wash.  – The women's Indoor Track & Field team had a strong showing this weekend at the University of Washington Invitational which closed on Saturday.
 
Saturday's highlight was the performance of senior 
Adrienne Mai in the 400m, running a 1:01.70 to not only shave two seconds off of her lifetime best but posted the second-fastest time in school history. This came one day after also earning a new PR in the 200m as her 27.46 landed ninth all-time for the Beacons.
 
Friday's 200m race featured four personal records. Led by freshman 
Macayla Parrish (27.33) and junior 
Maddii Desemone (27.43). Mai and senior 
Mayah Pappas (27.71) also topped their personal bests.
 
The women's competition also included the first jumps event of the season as Pappas landed a 5.01m/16'5.25" jump.
 
In addition, Saturday saw the running of the 60m where Mai posted an 8.25 to lead the Beacons.

Kyle Will said, "The UW Invitational is a very difficult meet with some high-level competition and it was a great experience for our team.  We are pleased with our effort and everyone handled themselves phenomenally. We are excited to take a larger group to Spokane next weekend"
 
Bushnell will continue the indoor season next Friday and Saturday at the Riverfront Invitational at The Podium facilty in Spokane, Washington.
