MEN'S SOCCER

The Beacons (4-1-2, 0-1-1 CCC) unfortunately brought their six-game undefeated streak to an end on the road this weekend. Bushnell lost to Oregon Tech, 3-0, finishing with a 10-17 shot disadvantage. Their contest with Southern Oregon, originally scheduled for this past Saturday, has been postponed due to air quality and will be played at the end of the regular season on November 2.
 
Bushnell will host Carroll and Providence in their conference home opener this weekend and are looking to gain back some momentum.
 
STAT WATCH: Bushnell is currently third in conference in goals (3/g) and tied for third in assists (1.86/g). The Beacons are eighth in the CCC in goals against, allowing 1.86 per contest. Sophomore Alejandro Munoz is leading the conference in shots with 4.86 per game and is tied with Caleb Premo for seventh in goals scored with four apiece.
 
CARROLL: The Saints (3-2-1, 3-1 CCC) are coming off a home series split, defeating Multnomah on Thursday and falling to Warner Pacific on Friday.
 
Carroll is currently second to last in the conference in goals scored (1.33/g) and defensively leads the CCC with 0.83 goals allowed per game.
 
The Saints hold a 6-1 advantage in the all-time series with Bushnell and have won four straight.
 
PROVIDENCE: The Argos (4-4, 2-2 CCC) are also looking for a rebound after splitting their doubleheader at home this weekend, most recently losing to Warner Pac, 6-0.
 
Providence is tenth in the CCC in goals with 1.62 per game and is ranked twelfth in goals allowed (2.38/g). They are also third in the conference in saves with an average of five per match.
 
The Argos are led in scoring by Jose Vasquez, who currently has seven goals on the season.
 
Providence holds a 6-3 lead in the all-time series after Bushnell picked up the win in Montana last season, 2-1.
 

WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Beacons (2-3, 1-1 CCC) are coming off a big 1-0 win against Oregon Tech this weekend. Lexis Canyete-Asato scored the one goal for Bushnell in the 13th minute and the strong defense held the Owls for the remainder of the game, resulting in a shutout. Their originally scheduled Saturday match against Southern Oregon was also postponed due to air quality and was rescheduled for November 2.
 
The Beacons are hoping to keep the ball rolling as they face Carroll and Providence at home this weekend.
 
STAT WATCH: Bushnell is still ranked 12th in the CCC in scoring (0.80/g) and has moved up to sixth in defense with an average of 1.8 goals allowed per game. Canyete-Asato leads the Beacons with two goals this season and Lexi Bates is ranked third in the conference in saves per game (6.75/g).
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lexi Bates was named the CCC Defensive Player of the Week with her huge performance in goal on Friday. Bates made five saves and recorded the shutout for the Beacons and is just the eighth Beacon to receive this honor in Bushnell history.
 
CARROLL: The undefeated Saints (6-0-1, 3-0 CCC) come into the weekend with a three-game win streak, recently shutting out both Multnomah and Warner Pacific. Five teams remain undefeated in the CCC but Carroll is one of just two schools to post nine points (three wins) thus far.
 
Carroll is currently tied for third in the CCC in scoring, averaging two goals per game. They have allowed just three goals through seven games, which ranks second. The Saints also lead the conference in shutouts with five so far this season.
 
Bushnell will be looking for their first ever win against Carroll with the Saints holding a 9-0 all-time series advantage.
 
PROVIDENCE: The Argos (2-4-1, 1-1-1 CCC) are coming off a recent win over Warner Pac, ending their four-game losing streak on Saturday. They also had a 1-1 tie with Multnomah last Friday.
 
Providence is tied for ninth in the CCC in scoring, averaging 1.29 goals per game. They are ranked last defensively, allowing 4.43 goals per contest. Tina Serwaa Ofori is tied for sixth in the conference in scoring, leading the team with four goals. Kam Nadeja has recorded 36 saves, ranking her fourth in the CCC.
 
The Beacons hold a 2-8 all-time series record with Providence, with both of their victories being at home in 2016 and 2021.
 

VOLLEYBALL

After a split weekend on the road with SOU and OIT, Bushnell (9-4, 7-2 CCC) finds themselves in a three-way tie for third place in the conference. This weekend they will face College of Idaho, who is also tied for third, as well as the second ranked CCC team, Eastern Oregon.
 
STAT WATCH: The Beacons are currently ranked sixth in the CCC for hitting percentage (.168) and fourth for defensive hitting percentage (.136). They are also third in the conference for service aces (1.83/set). Junior Bella Parque is currently third in the CCC in digs (4.92) per set.
 
COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Yotes (9-8, 7-2 CCC) come off an undefeated weekend, taking down both Lewis-Clark State and Walla Walla in three sets each.
 
College of Idaho is currently fourth in the CCC for hitting percentage (.180) and are fifth in defensive hitting (.136). They lead the conference in digs with 16.48 per set. Jade Warren leads the Yotes in blocks (1.17/s) and Clair Hodge is just behind Parque in digs with 4.34 per set.
 
College of Idaho holds a 24-9 advantage in the all-time series with the Beacons, however, Bushnell has won the last eight in a row, all in three sets.
 
EASTERN OREGON: The Mountaineers (15-1, 8-1 CCC) find themselves in second place in the CCC, currently riding a four-game win streak.
 
They are ranked second in the conference for hitting (.241) and first for opponent hitting (.081) and kills (13.30). Kiauna Mack is second in the CCC with 1.38 blocks per set and Alexis McMurtrey is the team leader in service aces (0.42).
 
EOU holds a 33-3 edge in the all-time series with the Beacons, defeating Bushnell in the past 23 matchups.
 

CROSS COUNTRY

Saturday, 9/30 at Charles Bowles Invitational (Livestats)

The Beacon cross country teams will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to compete in the Charles Bowles Invitational. Hosted by Willamette University, this is traditionally one of the preeminent cross country races on the west coast, with teams traveling from all over the country to attend.
 
Bushnell has plenty of strong history at the event, with four of the women's top-25 times coming at the event and nine of the men's top-25, including four of the top-eight.
 

ESPORTS

Saturday 9/30 vs Fortnite Qualifier #3, 12 p.m. (Live Stream)
Monday 10/2 vs North Dakota State University 5:30 pm (Live Stream)

 
Bushnell Fortnite placed second in the second qualifier last weekend, securing them an automatic bid to the national championship. They will have one final tune-up this weekend before the Collegiate Championship on October 7.
 
Rocket League fell to Oklahoma Christian University, 3-1, in their last match. They take on North Dakota State University (3-1) on Monday with just two matches to go in the regular season.
