SPRINGFIELD, Ore.  – The Beacons were unable to field a complete team on Friday as they hosted the Bushnell Invitational at Pine Ridge Golf Course on Friday afternoon, but put together four strong individual performances.

Junior
Logan Gant once again led the way for the Beacons and earned a top-ten finish, taking eighth-place with a time of 28:07.

Miguel Ramirez (14th, 29:04) and
Sayer Pescosolido (15th, 29:14) kept pace with each other and
CJ Long rounded out the effort in 17th (29:44).

The meet was won by the Oregon State Running Club, scoring 15 points and claiming five of the top-seven finishes to easily outpace Oregon Tech (42 points).

Hope International, with four runners competing, had the top two collegiate finishes with Caleb Ornelas winning the race (26:35) and Daniel Perez following in third (27:14). Oregon Tech was led by Lucas Goodrich, taking tenth (28:18).

After the dust settled, Head Coach
Kyle Will said, "everything went really well today hosting the meet and we hope to continue to grow this event in the future. Pine Ridge is a great course and a great venue for cross country. As for the team, obviously, we were dealing with some sickness. We weren't worried about our times or performance today, just wanting to go out and represent well which I think we did. We are working hard towards conference in two weeks, and we are hoping to get rest, get healthy, and get fired up to finish strong."

Up Next: The Beacons return to action in two weeks as they head to Independence, Oregon for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships. The men's race will commence at 11:00 am.
