CORVALLIS, Ore.– Two new names were added to the Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifiers list and a third snagged her second ticket as the Bushnell women's track & field team competed at the Oregon State High Performance meet.

Freshman
Hannah Scott (pictured) secured her spot on Friday in the 10000m, coming across the finish line in 42 minutes, 28.86 seconds, eclipsing the CCC standard by ten seconds.

2021 NAIA qualifier
Shay Coons made her season debut on Saturday in the javelin, and cleared the conference mark with an opening throw of 37.15 meters.

Already a qualifier in the 400m hurdles, sophomore
Sierra Janikowski added the 100m Hurdles to her CCC resume on Saturday. She posted the exact CCC mark of 17.06 seconds to earn the right to perform double-duty in Ashland in two weeks.

A number of Beacon women also hit season bests over the weekend including
Trinity Hazelitt in the 100m (13.92),
Kennedy Larson in the 5000m (21:31.16),
Skye Urban in the Steeple (13:19.88), and
Libby Mathis in the shot put (11.54m). Janikowski also hit a new season-best in the 400m hurdles (1:11.37).

With one more weekend remaining in the regular season, the Beacons have now earned 22 Cascade Conference berths, among 14 different athletes.

The ladies will be back in action next weekend, splitting their time between two events in their final runup to the CCC championships. Select members will compete on Friday in Eugene at the Oregon Twilight, while others will run on Saturday at the Linfield Open.
