EUGENE, Ore. –
Walla Walla University took down Bushnell University in the Morse Center on Saturday night, defeating the Beacons 78-72 in Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball action.

KiAndre Gaddy and Zayne Browning combined for 35 points in the second half for the Wolves, while the Beacons totaled 35 points as a team in the period.

Bushnell (8-19, 6-14 CCC) led 37-30 at the half and came out of the break scoring the first six points to extend the lead to 13 two minutes into the period, their largest of the night. The Wolves were down by double-digits for the next five minutes before opening a 12-2 run to tie the game at 52-52 with eight and a half minutes to go.

Walla Walla (4-23, 3-17) grabbed its first lead of the night after a three-point play from Zayne Browning brought the score to 58-57. Logan Sand attempted to spark a late comeback with a pair of threes in the closing minutes, but it wouldn't be enough as the Wolves led the rest of the way. Sand's three at the 44-second mark put the Beacons within two before WWU sealed the game on free throws.
