COMPLETE RESULTS | TALENT, Ore. – The Bushnell men's cross country team claimed a seventh-place finish in the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships on Friday.

Sitting in eighth place through most of the race, the team was able to move up over the final 1000 meters to slide into seventh, beating Multnomah by nine points.

The top six spots went nearly as expected, with the five teams currently ranked in the NAIA Top-25 finishing one-through-five. Southern Oregon (34) won the race, followed by College of Idaho (62), Eastern Oregon (66), Oregon Tech (117) and Lewis-Clark State (122). Northwest, receiving votes in the national poll, took sixth (137).

Bushnell scored 232 points to top Multnomah (242) and Corban (251).

Freshman
Alec Carne led the Beacons in his first conference championship race, landing in the top-40 individually. He took 38th place (26:57).
Noah Mancione was the second Beacon to finish (52nd, 27:55), followed by
Sayer Pescosolido (60th, 29:21) and
Christopher Rosebrook (61st, 29:31).

In a bit of a surprise, freshman
Ephraim Webber (pictured) came across as the final scorer for the Beacons, taking 63rd in 29 minutes and 40 seconds.

Also competing for the Beacons were
Jonathan Rosebrook in 68th,
Seth Handman in 70th, and
Isaac Bodley in 71st. Two Bushnell runners,
Linus Rueegger and
Will Callahan, were unable to finish the race.
