2022-2023: CROSS COUNTRY - Competed five times for the Beacons as a freshman...established an 8000m PR of 26:10.1 at the Jessup Invitational on October 22, taking fifth place...finished 38th at the CCC Championship...named Bushnell's Most Valuable Runner...TRACK & FIELD - Ran at the Portland Indoor #2, and ran a school record 8:57.20 in the 3000m...competed in eight outdoor meets...qualified for CCC Championships in the 1500m and 5000m...finished sixth in the 5000m at the CCC Championship...established PRs in the 800m (1:58.34), 1500m (4:03.76) and 5000m (15:09.67)...named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll for both semesters and was a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete (4.0 GPA) in the fall...named team's Most Inspirational.
High School Experience: Ran four years on varsity at Baker Early College for coaches Tracy Smith, Chuck Coats, and Ernie Brooks...high school PRS: 300m Hurdles (43.0), 800m (1:59), 1500m (4:04), 5000m (15:38).
Personal: Born on July 25 in Portland, Ore...son of David and Kristi Carne...loves spending time outdoors...writes poetry...aspires to become a middle school teacher...majoring in secondary education.
