FINAL RESULTS
MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Bushnell men's cross country team was back on the course for the second time this season, competing at the Ash Creek Invitational, hosted by Western Oregon University. The Beacons took seventh-place in the event.
"The men had an amazing race," said Head Coach
Kyle Will. "Of the ten that ran, seven saw improved times over our last time out. I encouraged them to run without watches and to just run off of feel, and it worked well."
Leading the way for the Beacons was
Luke Phillips (pictured), finishing in 32nd place with a time of 19:26.2 across the 6000-meter course.
Sawyer Miller followed in 42nd (19:48.4) and
Josiah Swick came in at No. 55 (20:29.0).
Hunter Davis (64th, 20:57.4) and
Ben Carter (69th, 21:08.9) rounded out the scoring.
Also racing for the Beacons were
Ben Patterson (75th, 21:31.3),
CJ Long (80th, 21:49.5),
Wyatt Pepiot (82nd, 22:11.1),
James Bechtol (85th, 22:25.9), and
Jackson Engstrom (93rd, 23:38.3).
Up Next: The Beacons return to Ash Creek Preserve in two weeks for the Mike Johnson Classic, also hosted by WOU. The men race at 11:00 am.
