Biography
2022-2023: CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in six races for the Beacons in his final season...broke his 8000m PR with a time of 26:15.3 at the Charles Bowles Invitational on October 1... TRACK & FIELD - Limited due to injury, competed twice for the Beacons...won the Bushnell Perseverance Award...named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete (4.0 GPA) for both semesters.Â
2021-2022: CROSS COUNTRY - Competed in all five races for the Beacons...began career with a third-place finish at the Linfield Harrier Classic 6K...took second place at the Bushnell Invite...ran a PR (26:39.0) at the Inland Empire Invitatonal...named Most Valuable Runner. TRACK - Opened his track career at the Shamrock'n Half Marathon where he ran a school-record 1:12:12, and took third-place out of nearly 3000 runners...qualified for the NAIA Half Marathon and was the top finisher in the men's 19-24 age group...named CCC Track Athlete of the Week...took 14th place at the NAIA National Championship...also established collegiate bests in the 1500 (4:22.57, Lewis & Clark Invite), 5000m (15:53.85, Willamette Invite), and 10000m (32:39.72, OSU High Performance Meet)...qualified for the CCC Championship in the 10k where he took 16th...named Team's Top Newcomer.Â
Previous Collegiate Experience: Played four years of soccer at NAIA Soka University...earned team Champion of Character award as a sophomore.
High School Experience: Competed for three years at Franklin High.
Personal: Born on August 7...son of Alessandra and Peter Rueegger...earned his undergraduate degree from Soka University in Environmental Studies...currently pursuing his MBA.
